This guitar was originally a classical nylon string guitar, but was given a new life by the Martin factory in Nazareth, PA. This classic and unique Martin restoration provides an interesting blend of the original and modern luthier techniques the brand is known for. The replacement Adirondack spruce top would be extremely rare to find on an original Martin from this era and provides a level of clarity not often found in this era. Combined with the original straight grain old growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides, the guitar provides a warmth that is almost impossible to find in modern acoustics.
The Authentic 1937 modified-V neck on this once-nylon guitar makes for an extremely comfortable playing experience. The replacement mahogany neck boasts modern features like a two-way truss rod and new Waverly 4060N tuners. Topped off with modern electronics, this truly one-of-a-kind guitar provides a playing experience like no other.
Inspired by the iconic 1937 models, it features Authentic 1937 bracing, hide glue construction, and an adjustable truss rod for tone you can trust and playability you can count on. Finished in Authentic vintage gloss, it captures the look and feel of a well-preserved pre-war original.
