Relish Flamed Jane, S/N: 2189
This is a Relish Flamed Jane electric guitar made in 2017 in Lucerne Switzerland. It is a semi-hollow electric guitar equipped with a pair of humbucking pickups. The body has an outer shell of formed plywood around an aluminum central frame. The plywood outer shell has a top layer of flamed maple, referenced in the model name, under a semi-matte natural finish. A pick can be used to remove a central plywood panel from the back, allowing access to change batteries and to allow for restrings. On later models, this would also allow for a quick pickup swap, though this particular example predates this feature, having traditionally mounted pickups with height adjustment screws instead.
The neck bolts to the aluminum inner frame. It is made from quarter sawn maple with a fingerboard made from a woven bamboo product known as “dark strand woven bamboo.” The scale length is 25.59,” the nut width is 1.67” and the spacing at the fixed bridge is 2 1/8.” The neck is a modern “C” carve. There are twenty four medium jumbo stainless steel frets and side dot markers at the third, fifth, seventh, ninth, twelfth, fifteenth, seventeenth, nineteenth, twenty first and twenty third frets. The headstock is equipped with the Relish name and logo along with Gotoh 510Z tuners in a chrome finish and a cavity for access to the two-way truss rod.
The pickups are a pair of humbucking Relish Bucker XV’s and a piezo electric pickup. There are three knobs, volume, tone and a blend for the amount of the piezo you want blended into the signal. Two touch sensitive pads act as the pickup selector between the humbuckers, the upper pad activates the neck pickup, the lower activates the bridge and pressing both will activate both. The neck dots are LED lights. As you fret, the corresponding dots will light up. There are two internal batteries, one for the neck dots and one for the pickup selector touch pads.
The case is a custom fit hardshell case in black Tolex.
