Named after Iris co-founder Adam Buchwald and modeled on the J-185, the AB is considered a small jumbo, inspired by Adam's time at Retrofret Vintage Guitars in Brooklyn, where a 1954 Gibson J-185 left a lasting impression for its size, shape, and effortless playability. Built with a Sitka spruce top and Honduran mahogany back, sides, and neck, and finished with scalloped Adirondack bracing, the AB delivers lots of power and projection, a warm midrange, and strong treble response. It's a lightly built, highly responsive guitar that fits comfortably in your lap while still bringing serious voice to the stage.
