This mid-thirties style guitar was developed closely with Mark Stutman of Folkway Music, whom the model is named after. Founder of the independent guitar shop in Waterloo, Ontario, Mark is widely regarded as an expert in vintage Gibson acoustics, and his deep knowledge of prewar instruments shaped every detail of this build. Inspired by the small-body 00 guitars of the 1930s, the MS-00 pairs a sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, delivering the X-braced growl, warm low-end, and sweet top-end sparkle that define that golden-era voice. It's a wonderful homage to the vintage builds it draws from, while still holding its own distinct visual and sonic identity.
