Kamaka Concert Ukelele, SN: 050429, Made in Hawaii 2005

This is a Kamaka Concert Ukelele made in Honolulu Hawaii. The neck block was stamped on February 14th, 2005, making this almost exactly a twenty year old instrument. The scale length is 15,” the width at the nut is 1 ⅜,” and the string spacing at the bridge is 1 ¾.”  The body is Hawaiian Koa with a Honduran mahogany neck, Koa faceplate on the headstock and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The Kamaka logo is inlaid in mother of pearl on the faceplate and there are fingerboard markers at the fifth, seventh, tenth and twelfth frets. There are sixteen frets total. The tuners are miniature planetary tuners which function well.

The finish shows light strum wear on both sides of the upper bout around the soundhole and there is some light elbow wear on the bass side of the lower bout. Overall, it is easy to play and it sounds great.
