Condition: Very Good
Weight: 9.3lbs
A fantastic example of a late '60s Les Paul Custom, this 1969 model delivers the unmistakable tone, feel and visual appeal that have made these guitars legendary.
All parts are original with the exception of a few screw in the neck pickup. The original knobs and pickguard are included int he case. The previous owner opted for gold knobs, which compliment the beautifully aged gold hardware and naturally faded binding.
Weighing in at 9.3lbs, this guitar is on the lighter side for a Les Paul of this era, making it especially comfortable for extended playing sessions. The neck features a very comfortable medium C profile, paired with the original "fretless wonder" frets. The guitar had a professional neck reset and plays cleanly up and down the fretboard with no buzzing. It stays in tune exceptionally well.
Cosmetically, it shows honest playwear consisten with it's age; standard nicks, dings and finish checking from years of use, but it has clearly been well cared for. There are no tobacco ordors or other unwanted smells.
Tonally, this guitar delivers everthing you'd expect from a great late-'60s Les Paul. It can howl and roar for classic rock tones, yet cleans up beautifully for warm, articulate jazz sounds with the volume rolled back.
At Circle Strings Guitar Shop, we offer professional refret services should a future owner prefer an alternative fret style.
